As usual, our week has been busy! Yesterday we made our paper plate pirates, which is something we started last week. We also got to play a new game- throwing a ball in a pumpkin bucket- the further away the bucket, the more points you get! Today we cut out parts for our hedgehogs, and we will hopefully finish them tomorrow. Our big event today was the visit from a Jacksonville fire engine! The kids got to go inside the truck, ask questions, see Mrs. Brown put on all the fire fighter gear, and even turn on the hose! We had a great time! We explained to the children if they ever see a fireman in their house/apartment to go towards him, not away from him, eventhough he can look a little bit scary with the oxygyn mask on. Please reiterate this point with your children.
On Thursday we will make a pumpkin glyph and clean out our very own pumpkin that the kids picked out from the pumpkin patch last week! I can't wait!
Remember there is no school on Friday! Our Halloween parade and party will be on Monday! Don't forget to check out the sign up sheet for the party! Thank you!!
