Quite a Week!

Hello all!  Wow!!  This was quite a quick and crazy week!  My head is still spinning from Valentines Day, our field trip yesterday and our 100th Day celebration today!  Hopefully next week will be a little bit quieter!
First I want to give everyone kudos for bundling your children up so well on Monday when it was cold out!  Also, thanks to everyone for bringing the kids to the library yesterday.  I think they really enjoyed it! I know you are all very busy people, and we appreciate you taking time to come on the field trip!
One quick side note- if your child brings home a class book (one we have made in class), please only keep it for a night or two, and then send it back to school.  My goal is to have 10  of them made by the end of the year, so each child can take one home as a "souvenir".  Thanks!
On to our week.  The kids had a blast making their frames for you.  I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as we enjoyed making them!  They were very proud of their work.  Thank you to Sammi for bringing in cupcakes on Monday- they were so yummy!!
We also studied the letter Qq quite a bit, although it's a little tricky, so feel free to keep practicing the sound and writing it.  We were a little bit confused because there are a lot of words that sound like they should begin with Qq (like cutie) but don't.
The crazy crowns the children brought home today also took quite awhile!  Each child was given 10 strips of paper, and on each paper they had to draw/write 10 things.  We used stickers, the first letter of our names, circles, squares, etc.  Ultimately we had 100 items on our crown!  The kids have become very proficient at counting by 10's up to 100.  They have enjoyed that part of our daily calendar routine, and are now wondering what we will do with the marble jar!
There is no school on Monday- we are off for President's Day.
Enjoy the pictures and your long weekend!
