Easter Week!

What a short week we had!  It was still as fun as ever!  Today was a blast- thanks so much for picnicking with the kids- it was great to see all the families out there eating together!  I'm not going to post all the pictures I took today, but will let you see the ones of the Easter Egg Hunt. :)

This week we learned about the "true and real" meaning of Easter.  We learned that some people did not like Jesus, and hurt him and put him on the cross to die.  Jesus was put in a cave with a heavy stone in front.  We know Jesus did lots of miracles, and the soldiers did not want him to be able to get out of the cave.  Well, our God is greater than that, and the stone was rolled away 3 days later.  We learned that "He is not dead, He is ALIVE"!!!!  Praise the Lord for all He does for us.

We made lots of bunnies this week and last week, in celebration of Easter!  Today we did a jelly bean craft that is in your child's folder.  I have also sent home April's newsletter and calendar (I apologize for the delay).  The next 5 weeks are fairly "normal."  We will have our Muffins with Mom celebration on Thursday, May 3rd at about 9:45am.  It is one of our most fun events of the year- please mark your calendars now!  We want every child to have someone there with them, so if mom can't come, please send someone in her place!
