Marvelous Week!

Good afternoon!  I hope this finds you having a great Friday!  We had a marvelous week filled with mice, muffins, math, money, magnets and metal!  We now have a rice table that if filled with metal items, and the children are using a magnetic wand to find the metal items that are hidden in the rice!  It's a hit!
We also read many books by Laura Numeroff, including: If You Give a Moose a Muffin, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, If You Take a Mouse to the Movies, If You Take A Mouse to School, and even 10 Step Guide to Living with Your Monster!  These are very popular books with your children!  We did a muffin taste test, some math with (paper) muffins, and even have a counting activity with a muffin tin.
In between all of our fun lessons, I tested your children.  I am so excited to give you the results at our conferences over the next 2 weeks!  You will be/should be so proud of your children- they are learning so much!
February will bring a lot of excitement, so be sure to check out the February newsletter/calendar that will go home next week!
One little piece of housekeeping before the pictures: please encourage your children to open their own containers/bags/drinks when you are at home with them.  They need to start practicing these skills for next year!  Also, PLEASE send spoons/forks/napkins in your children's lunch boxes....the teachers like to eat during lunch too!  :)  Thanks!!
Enjoy the pictures!
