Dd Week!!

Dd week is off to a great start!  We are working hard on our projects for our Dads, so there won't be too many pictures until Friday after the event.  The kids are so excited and cannot wait for Friday morning!  Please make sure your child has a representative from your family to sit with him/her if Dad cannot make it.  It is very important for each child to have someone with them!  Let us know if this is not possible so we can arrange for your child to have someone sit with him/her.

We are learning about Adam and Eve, and had a special guest at chapel today.  Pastor Blake was with us!  He did a magic trick and had a few volunteers help with the story.  I apologize the pictures aren't great but it's dim in the chapel and the zoom on my camera isn't wonderful!

We have also been reading some fun books this week.  We read There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed Some Leaves which the kids really enjoyed.  She doesn't just swallow flies anymore!  The fall version of this silly lady had the kids laughing.  We also read Super Duck, about a superhero duck that saves his friend who was carried away on a kite!  My favorite book so far is called Me and My Dad, which is about a father bear and his cub.  The whole book is about things the father bear and cub do together.  At the end of the book one of the children said "But where's the mom?"  I asked them "Well, where do you think she could be?"  The kids brainstormed these ideas:  She could be at the library, work, the grocery store, the zoo or perhaps Disney!  It was a fun conversation, and I thought it was nice they considered the mother bear!
Enjoy our pictures!
