Week Two!

First I'd like to say I'm sorry for not posting sooner.  My husband and I moved into our first house this weekend, and I didn't have Internet until recently!  Thank you for your patience!

Now onto more important things- our week!  We had a fantastic Aa week!  I am so proud of your children.  They are learning what sound Aa makes, and are getting better and better at writing it.  They are also doing a great job writing numbers 1 and 2.  We are learning about Creation and what God made on each day.  Our God is so amazing!  He just spoke and things appeared!

Friday was a big day for us.  We wrote on our white boards, had an apple tasting, and measured our classroom using Unifix cubes (non-standard form of measurement).  We also measured ourselves using dicut apples and had a science lesson with Mrs. Kaiser!  We are conducting an experiment.  We made a hypothesis, and will check our answers tomorrow.  We are discovering which liquid makes apples turn brown fastest: water, ascorbic acid (lemon juice) or "just air" (as the kids said).

This week we are studying the letter Tt.  Our Bible story is still Creation.  We have so much to learn about what God made!  One more thing before you get to the pictures- I want to say a HUGE thank you to all the parents who came to our meeting.  I appreciate it and look forward to a super year!!

Measuring the room!  We counted 200 blocks before we got tired!
Apple Tasting!

How many apples tall is Peyton?
