OUR FIRST DAY!!!

This was the chart we made after we read Kissing Hand by Audrey Penn.  In the story a little racoon named Chester has to go to school for the first time.  Your child should have used their story bags to tell you about what happened to Chester.  We learned the word nocturnal (animals that come out at night), and then made this chart discussing things that we do during the day/night, as well as what Chester does. 

Morning Work/Center Time

We are having a blast so far!  On our first day we also learned our rules and routines, learned the "Hello Song" the "Months" song and the "Days of the Week" song.  Since it was rainy outside we had relay races inside and did the Hokey Pokey!  During centers I worked one on one with the children to complete a page for our class book Our Kissing Hands.  You will see it on September 15th!
